EMMA is a study in soft volume. Every surface is a curve: the arms are broad, rounded columns, the back is a low band curving around the seat, and the seat itself is a full cushion, upholstered right to its edge. There isn’t a hard line anywhere on it.
The proportions are what make it work. The heavy arms carry the weight straight to the floor, and the round seat sits between them with open space underneath, so a chair made entirely of mass still reads as light. Seat, arms and back are wrapped in the same fabric, which makes it one continuous form rather than a frame with cushions added.
